Biden battling ‘most aggressive type’ of prostate cancer with bone metastasis, medical expert says

Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has metastasized to the bone, according to a statement from his office. Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, a former Obama administration official, suggested that Biden likely had the cancer during his presidency. Prostate cancer that has spread to the bone is considered Stage 4B with a 37% survival rate over five years. Biden’s Gleason score is nine out of ten, indicating the speed at which the cancer is spreading. Biden has a history of medical issues, including brain aneurysms and a pulmonary embolism in 1988.
