The settlement addresses concerns that delivery companies like DoorDash shortchange their workers. The agreement includes a $16.7 million fine, with DoorDash providing nearly $115 million in relief to around 264,000 workers. The company admitted to mistakes in payment calculations and late payments, attributing errors to various factors such as delivery complexities and technical bugs. DoorDash has since fixed the technical issues that led to these mistakes.
