Charlamagne Tha God has publicly stated that he will not participate in upcoming documentaries about his mentor, Wendy Williams, unless she is involved. The Peacock and Netflix projects are currently in development, with the Peacock docuseries being developed by Suzanne Bass, a former co-producer of The Wendy Williams Show. Williams, who hosted her talk show from 2008 to 2022, has been living in an assisted living and memory care facility since 2023. Charlamagne expressed concerns about the projects and suggested that Bass was “trying to get a check” from the project. Williams, who has faced health and legal challenges in recent years, was previously cleared of frontotemporal dementia by a neurologist.
