National parks will not be free to enter on Juneteenth in 2026, as the National Park Service has removed June 19 from its fee-free schedule. The agency has included new free-entry days such as Flag Day/President Trump’s birthday, Independence Day weekend, and its 110th anniversary on Aug. 25. This change comes after the NPS removed Juneteenth and Martin Luther King Jr. Day from its free entry dates in response to President Trump’s executive order targeting diversity, equity, and inclusion policies within the parks. While some national parks charge entry fees, a list of free-entry dates for 2026 is available on the NPS website.
