$117M class action settlement: You may be owed money

If you have purchased pork products between June 28, 2014, and June 30, 2018, you may be owed money. Pork producers Agri Stats, Clemens, Hormel, JBS, Seaboard, Smithfield, Triumph, Tyson, and others have agreed to a $117.065 million class action settlement to resolve claims that they conspired to raise pork prices. JBS and Smithfield reached previous settlements. The settlement does include Florida consumers and other states. Consumers who purchased raw pork bacon or fresh or frozen pork made from bellies, loins, shoulders, ribs, or pork chops from one of the companies may be eligible for a cash payment. Payment amounts will depend on how much they paid for pork products during the affected dates. Claims must be submitted by Oct. 29 to receive a cash payment.
