2025 gets 50%. What say you???

A few weeks ago, were you THRILLED to see 2025 come to an end. . were you indifferent . . . or was 2025 so amazing that you wish you could re-live it over and over again, like a full-year version of “Groundhog Day”?

A new poll asked Americans to rank 2025 on a scale of 1 to 10 . . . and the average score came out to 5.3. Which is pretty . . . MEH.

Five wasn’t just the average, it was the most common vote. 20% of people gave 2025 a “5.” On the extremes, 6% gave it a “10,” and 9% gave it a “1.”

Gen X was lowest on 2025, with a 5.1 average, while Millennials rated it slightly higher at 5.3. Gen Z and Boomers both gave it a 5.4.

5.3 is a notable drop from 2024, which scored a 6.1 out of 10. Which doesn’t seem too surprising. It’s hard to think of many stand-out bright spots . . . unless you work in A.I. or have some money in A.I. stocks.

But on a PERSONAL level, it was good for some people. 69% felt like they developed in the last 12 months in some way, with improvements to personal life (59%), and in their mental or emotional life (49%).

Others also felt spiritual growth (45%), and intellectual growth (33%).

75% of Gen Z’ers said they grew as a person in some way in 2025, compared to 59% of Boomers. (Of course they were growing before Gen Z was born.)

Gen Z were most likely to say they’ve developed both emotionally and intellectually.

Boomers were most likely to feel they’d developed spiritually in 2025, and that they had enhanced their physical health and fitness.

Millennials were the most likely to say they’ve developed professionally, creatively, and artistically.

And Gen X was apparently out on ALL of it. They didn’t excel at anything.
