A new survey from the New York Federal Reserve Bank paints a pretty rough picture of the workforce right now. In the 12-year history of the survey, Americans have never been so unsatisfied with their pay. Only 52% of people are happy with how much money they make. And the confidence workers have in getting a promotion has also dropped to record lows. Normally, people would just leave for a better job. But that’s getting harder to do. The job market is not great, so a lot of employees feel stuck where they are. But, ironically enough, workers are still expecting higher pay. The minimum salary someone would accept for a new job just hit a record high.
