Gordie’s Midday Gossip: Do you make your bed every day?

Today is National Make Your Bed Day, which is something around 40% of us do every day anyway . . . while the other 60% haven’t done it since they were forced to, in order to get their weekly allowance.

If you DON’T make your bed every day, there are some benefits.

#1. Happiness. One study found that 62% of non-bed makers admit that they are UNHAPPY in their lives, while 71% of bed makers say they’re HAPPY.

#2. Sleep. According to a National Sleep Foundation survey, a made bed contributes to healthier sleep habits and better rest. Anecdotally, some people say a made bed feels more “inviting” when they’re ready to sleep.

#3. Turn-On. In one poll, 42% of bed-makers say it would be a “turn-off” if a potential partner left the sheets untucked.

#4. Sex. Non-bed makers enjoy some “play time” under the sheets TWICE a week. But bed makers enjoy bedroom fun THREE times per week on average.
