These Bands Have the Most Valuable Shirts, According to a Study

Those faded band tees sitting in your dresser drawer might actually have some cash value. There’s a new study that took a look at music tees sold on marketplace sites between December 2023 and September 2024.

Here are the Top 10 artists that have the highest average resale value:

1. Nirvana, $279

2. Red Hot Chili Peppers, $241

3. Earth, Wind & Fire, $235

4. Outkast, $225

5. Guns N’ Roses, $188

6. Green Day, $186

7. Paul McCartney, $180

8. Kanye West, $179

9. Pearl Jam, $171

10. XXXTentacion, $163

However, the Grateful Dead has the highest-valued shirt that sells for up to $2,750. It’s from 1994 and has a large black panther on the front. It’s followed by a long-sleeve Nirvana shirt from their In Utero Tour that sells for $2,000 . . . and a Bjork tee from her Post Tour for $1,895.50.
