Children under 18 are 3.5x more likely to be fatally injured by a car on Halloween than any other day according to Safe Kids Worldwide, a global nonprofit that works to prevent unintentional injuries to children.
Here’s a few tips on keeping the kids safe this Halloween.
- Put electronic devices down, keep heads up and walk, don’t run, across the street.
- Teach children to make eye contact with drivers before crossing in front of them.
- Have kids carry glow sticks or flashlights to help them see and be seen by drivers.
