Tampa is among the best cities for first-time homebuyers, according to a new WalletHub study. Tampa was ranked the fourth-best city for first-time homebuyers and took the top spot among large cities. According to WalletHub, first-time buyers made up just 21% of the market last year, compared to the historical average of 40%. WalletHub compared 300 cities of varying sizes across 22 indicators like market attractiveness, affordability, and quality of life. Tampa and Orlando ranked number one and two, respectively, as the best large cities for first-time homebuyers. In total, there are eight Florida cities in the top 30.
