Happy September 21st! Have you ever wondered why Earth, Wind & Fire mention the “21st night of September” in their song “September”?
It turns out, it’s because it was the expected birth date of Maurice White’s son, Kahbran.
It was previously thought that it was random, because one of the songwriters, Allee Willis, said it didn’t have significance until Maurice’s wife Marilyn corrected her.
In recognition of the day, Epcot at Walt Disney World will be playing “September” all day long on the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind ride.
