A Chicago native, Shawn has studied Radio/Television Broadcasting at Kennedy King College in Chicago, Illinois. Shawn got his start at their 250-Watt station WKKC in 1994 and in 1997 he got the opportunity of a lifetime working at WGCI AM-FM, WPWX Power 92 and WSRB Soul 106.3 in Chicago. Shawn’s radio journey also led him to Indianapolis, IN, Columbus, GA, Tyler, TX, Topeka, KS and now making Florida his home on Hot 106.5 and Power 106.1 in Jacksonville and 101.5 The Vibe in Tampa. Shawn is an advocate for education having earned a bachelor’s degree from Morehouse College in Business Administration in May 2025. Also, Shawn enjoys traveling, live music, rooftops, cigars, and a good Whiskey in his downtime. Shawn also is a voice actor and has been heard on commercials, and recently on the Bounce Network for their campaign for celebrating the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop.
