Now that Hurricane Idalia has moved out of Florida and is on the way to the Atlantic, those who were in the middle of the wind and surges have to pick up the pieces.



Idalia became the third hurricane of the 2023 Atlantic season on Tuesday, intensifying near the western tip of Cuba and taking aim at the Florida peninsula as a potentially destructive major storm that could make landfall as soon as Wednesday.


Tides were rising and storm clouds gathered as Hurricane Idalia prepared to move onshore as it traveled up the west coast of Florida toward the Big Bend area on Tuesday.
