The Caesars Palace Times Square project, a joint bid from SL Green, Caesars Entertainment, Roc Nation, and Live Nation, has announced a $15 million commitment to support the buildout of the Museum of Civil Rights in Manhattan. The museum will be a multicultural center dedicated to the ongoing struggle for equality and will showcase the art, literature, and artifacts of groups fighting for equal opportunity. This commitment is part of a $250 million investment in public benefits, including public safety and health equity initiatives. The project has garnered support from over 300 organizations and businesses, while facing opposition from some Broadway and Times Square stakeholders. The state is expected to award three downstate New York casino licenses by the end of 2025.
