More than 122,000 cases of Gatorade are being recalled nationwide, and Florida is among the 37 states where the affected drinks were distributed.

PepsiCo voluntarily recalled 122,021 cases of 28-ounce bottles after it was discovered that some products contained Yellow No. 5 and/or Yellow No. 6 that were not declared on the label. The FDA classified the recall as Class II, meaning exposure could cause temporary or medically reversible health effects, while the chance of serious health consequences is considered remote.

The recall involves these 28-ounce bottles only:

  • Gatorade Lemon Lime
  • Gatorade Lemon Lime Zero
  • Gatorade Orange
  • Gatorade Orange Zero

The recall covers 15 specific lot codes, with best-by dates ranging from April through June 2027. Floridians who have one of these flavors should check the lot code on the bottle against the FDA’s official recall information before drinking it.

Consumers can search the FDA Enforcement Report for “Gatorade” to see the affected lot numbers. The FDA generally recommends that consumers with recalled food follow the recall instructions, return the product to the store when applicable, or properly dispose of it. Anyone who experiences an allergic reaction or other health problem should contact a healthcare provider.

Consumers can also contact Gatorade directly at 1-888-794-2867, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, with questions about a product.
