During a recent interview, which was captured in an Instagram video posted by a “Swiftie” on Wednesday (August 5), Taylor discussed the inspiration behind “Betty” a song on her new album “Folklore.” Taylor is heard in the video explaining that Betty was written from the perspective of a 17-year-old boy that has lost his first love and has to apologize for the mistakes he’s made.

In the song, Taylor sings about “James,” “Betty” and “Inez” and says she, “named all the characters in this story after [her] friends’ kids,” fans have figured out those friends are more than likely Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds whose children’s names are James and Inez.

Lively and Reynolds had baby number three last October and have yet to dish the details on their daughter, however, if Taylor’s character names are dedicated to their other children then its not far-fetched to believe that the 10-month-old is named “Betty.”
