Prosecutors have decided to drop some charges against Sean “Diddy” Combs, including attempted kidnapping and aiding and abetting sex trafficking, ahead of closing arguments in his trial for sex trafficking and racketeering. The decision was made to streamline jury instructions, but Combs still faces serious charges. The jury will now have fewer predicates to consider during deliberations. Combs has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and defense attorneys rested their case without calling any witnesses. Key witnesses in the trial included Casandra “Cassie” Ventura and Kid Cudi.
