Drake has filed legal papers accusing Universal Music Group and Spotify of promoting Kendrick Lamar’s track “Not Like Us” over his own music through an elaborate scheme involving bots and payola. The legal filing claims that Universal manipulated streaming services and radio stations to boost Lamar’s song at the expense of Drake’s tracks. The feud between Drake and Lamar escalated through diss tracks earlier this year, with Lamar’s “Not Like Us” becoming a viral hit. Universal Music denied the allegations, stating that they follow ethical marketing practices. Spotify declined to comment on the matter.
