Eminem beats Drake, Kendrick Lamar to win American Music Award

Eminem won the award for Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist at the 2025 American Music Awards, marking his second win in the same category after 26 years. The Detroit rapper beat out competitors like Drake, Future, Tyler, the Creator, and Kendrick Lamar to secure the prestigious award. Despite being unable to attend the event in person, Eminem expressed gratitude to his fans in a video acceptance speech. This victory adds to his impressive collection of seven American Music Awards, with his most recent win prior to this being in 2014. Eminem had a successful year in 2024 with the release of his album “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce),” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
