“Rapper GloRilla, whose legal name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, has broken her silence after a dramatic incident last weekend. While she was performing at the WNBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis on Saturday, her Georgia home was burglarized. Deputies responded around 1:30 a.m. and officers say an occupant fired at the intruders, who fled without injuries. During the investigation, police smelled marijuana and obtained a search warrant—discovering a “significant amount” of marijuana in a master bedroom closet. Despite not being home, GloRilla voluntarily turned herself in on Tuesday on felony charges: possession of marijuana and a controlled substance. She posted a $22,260 bond and was released the same day. GloRilla took to social media, writing that “long story short, my house gets home invaded and I’m the only one that gets arrested.” Her attorneys called the arrest “a disturbing window into how warped law enforcement priorities have become.” Meanwhile, authorities say the burglary case remains under investigation as the suspects remain at large.
