Helene causes Tesla/house fire!

Florida home burns down after Tesla catches fire while sitting in Hurricane Helene floodwaters

During Hurricane Helene, The Hodges family in Sarasota said their Tesla Model X Plaid burst into flames after sitting in 6 to 8 inches of water inside the home’s garage.

The car was not charging or plugged in at the time.

Nine people escaped, but the house burned down.

If you have an EV exposed to saltwater you should move it at least 50 feet away any structure.

Salt conducts electricity, which could cause a short circuit.
