Janet Jackson is set to receive the prestigious ICON Award at the 2025 American Music Awards, celebrating her five-decade career in the music industry. The global superstar will also perform live for the first time on television since 2018. With her enduring influence, Jackson’s 2001 single “Someone to Call My Lover” recently went viral, showcasing her continued relevance. Ahead of her AMAs performance, she will relaunch her Las Vegas residency and continue to solidify her legacy as one of the most influential figures in music history.
