National Recording Registry to add music from Taylor Swift, Beyonce

The Library of Congress has added 25 new entries to the National Recording Registry, including recordings from artists like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Paul Anka, Ray Charles, and Ruth Brown. The list spans the history of recorded sound, with rare inclusions from the 21st century. The diverse selection includes iconic albums, singles, and broadcasts from various decades, showcasing the breadth of American music history. With these additions, the National Recording Registry now consists of 700 recordings earmarked for preservation and celebration. Artists like Belinda Carlisle, Chaka Khan, and Vince Gill expressed gratitude for being part of this prestigious collection.
