Denzel Washington and his family are collaborating on the film adaptation of August Wilson’s play “The Piano Lesson.” The project involves Denzel, his wife Pauletta, and their four children. Denzel’s youngest son, Malcolm, will direct, and his older son, John David, will play a lead role. The family members are also involved in various production roles, with Denzel’s daughter, Katia, serving as an executive producer. The Washington children have established themselves in the industry, with John David having a successful acting career and Katia focusing on producing. The film adaptation of “The Piano Lesson” is set to be released in 2024.
