Paris Jackson Speaks Out Against Michael Biopic: “I Had No Involvement”

Paris Jackson arrives at the InStyle and Warner Bros. Golden Globes afterparty at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif. Jackson said in a Rolling Stone interview that she tried to kill herself “multiple times” after her father’s death.

The upcoming biopic Michael, centered on the life and legacy of pop icon Michael Jackson, is already facing controversy—and this time, it’s coming from within the Jackson family.

Paris Jackson, Michael Jackson’s daughter, has publicly criticized the film, saying she had no involvement in its production despite claims to the contrary. Actor Colman Domingo, who stars in the film, recently stated that Paris was “very helpful” behind the scenes—but she’s now pushing back.

In a statement, Paris revealed that her feedback on the script was ignored and described the project as being filled with “inaccuracies and lies.” She made it clear that she’s chosen to distance herself from the biopic entirely.

“I had no part in this project,” Paris said, urging fans not to associate her with the film and to watch it without involving her name.

The biopic, titled Michael, has already dealt with production delays, reshoots, and ongoing legal scrutiny, particularly over how it handles the child molestation allegations that shadowed Jackson’s legacy.

With growing public concern and now pushback from Jackson’s own daughter, Michael may be facing an uphill battle before it even hits theaters.
