Nelly and Ashanti are giving fans an inside look at their journey—from reigniting their relationship to tying the knot and welcoming their first child. Their new unscripted series, Nelly and Ashanti: We Belong Together, debuts this summer on Peacock, and the recently released trailer offers a glimpse of what’s ahead.
In the teaser, the couple reflects on their long-running romance: an on-again, off-again connection that spanned 11 years. “I hated him,” Ashanti admits, “I didn’t think that we would get back together.” Now, they’re navigating married life together—balancing differing parenting approaches, finding a place to call home, juggling engaged schedules, and confronting the everyday chaos of newlywed parenthood.
“It’s not perfect,” Nelly shares, “but with our lives moving so fast, we can work our way through it.” Ashanti echoes his sentiment with a heartfelt, “Till death do us part.” Sealing their bond, Nelly declares, “We belong together.” To which Ashanti playfully responds, “No matter how much you get on my nerves.”
