Nearly 250,000 NC voters asked to update registration records

TAMPA BAY, Fla. — If you want to have a voice in Florida’s 2026 General Election and you’re not registered to vote, today is the day to get it done.

Monday, October 5, is Florida’s voter registration deadline for the November 3 General Election.

Florida residents can register online through the state’s official voter registration website, RegisterToVoteFlorida.gov. Voters can also use the site to check or update their voter registration information.

IMPORTANT DATES

October 5: Deadline to register to vote

October 19: Early voting begins in several Tampa Bay counties, including Pinellas, Hillsborough and Pasco. Dates and locations vary by county.

October 22 at 5 p.m.: Deadline to request that a Vote-by-Mail ballot be mailed to you.

November 3: Election Day. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Vote-by-Mail ballots must be received by the Supervisor of Elections by 7 p.m. on Election Day. A postmark by Election Day is not enough, so voters should allow plenty of time if returning a ballot through the mail.
