Early risers tomorrow morning will have the opportunity to witness a Blood Moon, with totality expected to occur between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. The event will be visible from 1 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., and it is the first and last full Lunar Eclipse of the year. A Blood Moon occurs when Earth’s shadow darkens the Moon, giving it a reddish appearance. This phenomenon is safe to observe with the naked eye and can be enjoyed from anywhere with nighttime visibility. No special equipment is required to view the Blood Moon, but finding a location with minimal light pollution is recommended for optimal viewing.
A total lunar eclipse will turn the full moon red for over 3 billion people tonight
