The business is in my blood, as I am the son of a former TV news anchor and reporter. I grew up playing and exploring behind the scenes in TV newsrooms as my mother anchored the news. My first radio job was an unplanned and spontaneous gift. A major influence in my life was my grandfather, a minister, who had a weekly religious radio broadcast. I accompanied him to a broadcast one day, and the board operator never showed up. I figured out how to work the board and had him on the air and up and running in a few minutes. They hired me on the spot. My grandfather took me to get a work permit so I could take the job at age 14.

Since then, I have worked in Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, Virginia Beach, Cincinnati, and now Tampa YAAAAAY!

Where are you from?

Born in Chicago. Raised between Battle Creek Michigan, and Atlanta GA.

What was your first job?

I ran the studio for my grandfathers Church Broadcast on WCLS AM Battle Creek MI. I was 14.

I had to get a workers permit because I was so young.

How long have you been in radio?

Since age 14. Over 30 years.

What is your favorite food?

Sea food/Soul food.

Does Pineapple belong on pizza?

Sometimes.

What was your first concert?

THE FRESH FEST! The Fat Boys, Joski Luv, Michele’, The Boogie Boys, and the LA Dream Team!

What is your favorite holiday?

Christmas! Thank God for Jesus!

What is your favorite song?

I have so many! I’m a 90′s Hip Hop, and R&B fanatic!

I also love old school gospel. I love Kirk Franklins version of Silver & Gold!

What was your favorite concert?

Birthday Bash 1. I was part of the Original WHTA staff in Atlanta.

This concert is now the biggest annual radio concert in the country now. I am proud to have been part of its inception. The line up was the 69 Boys, Crucial Conflict,112, NOTORIOUS BIG, and Lil Kim

Who was your favorite interview?

President Obama.

What was your first car?

1985 Pontiac Grand Prix

What is your favorite movie?

I love movies! I have dabbled with acting both on stage, and film.

City of God. It’s a Brazilian Gantsa flick, and The Color Purple.

The Bible!

If you won, the lottery what would you do first?

Pay tithes, and bills! Then buy my mother whatever she want’s!

What is your favorite place to vacation?

I want to go to south Africa 1 time.

MICHIGAN WOVERINE BASKETBALL, AND FOOT BALL!

What is something people don’t know about you?

At 17 I was the Michigan Wing Civil Air Patrol Cadet Commander.

C.A.P. is the Civilian Auxiliary of the USAF. The Cadet program is like JROTC, but much more.

I was in command of 1,718 cadets.

What is a skill you’d like to learn?

To pick/predict great financial Investments!
