Meanwhile, Queen Latifah, Graham Parsons, Celia Cruz, Fela Kuti, and MC Lyte are being honored with the early influence award . . . and producer Rick Rubin is among the recipients of the musical excellence award.
Nominees who didn’t make the cut are Lauryn Hill, Pink, The Black Crowes, Jeff Buckley, Melissa Etheridge, INXS, and Mariah Carey, who got snubbed for the THIRD time. She was also nominated in 2021 and 2023. The ceremony goes down November 14th. It’ll air in December on ABC and Disney+.
