Headed to a big New Year’s Eve bash on the 31st? A poll found it’s the SECOND-BEST thing you can do on New Year’s.
3,000 Americans were polled, and the top thing we want to do on New Year’s Eve is . . . stay home and watch Netflix. (???)
35% said binge-watching Netflix is the top way they’d like to ring in the new year. 24% would rather go to a big New Year’s party with friends.
They gave people four options to pick from. Here’s how they voted:
1. Watch Netflix or some other streaming platform. 35% of the vote.
2. Go to a New Year’s Eve party. 24%.
3. Get some sleep. 20% would rather just make sure they’re in bed before midnight.
4. Scroll through social media on your phone. 10% picked it. The remaining 11% said “other” or “no preference.”
If you combine social media and streaming, it means almost half of us think staring at a screen is the best possible thing to do on New Year’s Eve.
The poll also found one in four people would rather see their DENTIST than go to a big New Year’s Eve event.
