It goes without saying that there have been some bad TV shows over the years. But according to Collider.com, these are the 10 WORST . . . in history: Do you agree??? drop me a comment and let me know who should be on this list.
1. “My Mother the Car” (1965 - 1966): A guy’s dead mother comes back as a car . . . and speaks to him through the radio. It was a comedy starring (Dick Van Dyke’s brother) Jerry Van Dyke.
2. “The Swan” (2004): Women labeled “ugly ducklings” underwent plastic surgery, fitness training, and counseling . . . then went head-to-head by risking their fragile self-esteems in a beauty contest.
3. “Cavemen” (2007): Three neanderthals living in modern-day San Diego. This show starred Nick Kroll and was based on a series of Geico commercials.
4. “The Jerry Springer Show” (1991 to 2018): How this show avoided the top spot is beyond me. Then again, we ALL went through a “Jerry Springer” phase, didn’t we?
5. “Queen for a Day” (1956 to 1964): A game show where women shared their personal and emotional hardships, and a winner was chosen based on audience applause to receive a life-changing prize.
6. “Fred: The Show” (2012): Super-annoying Fred Figglehorn was one of the early breakout characters on YouTube, who went on to some fame on Nickelodeon, including two movies and this short-lived series.
7. “All’s Fair” (2025 - Present): Yeah, it’s got Kim Kardashian in it, but you’d think co-stars Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Sarah Paulson, and Glenn Close could redeem it.
8. “Viva Laughlin” (2007): A musical mystery drama based around the opening of a casino. It lasted two episodes.
9. “Cop Rock” (1990): Imagine a “Law & Order” show where the characters periodically break into song.
10. “The Idol” (2023): The Weeknd is known for his crazy music videos, but this attempt at longform storytelling wasn’t a hit with critics OR viewers.
