Four local swimmers from St. Petersburg Aquatics and St. Petersburg High School have been selected to represent Team USA at the 2026 World Junior Open Water Swimming Championships in Argentina. Ansley Bess, Sawyer Hansen, Brinkleigh Hansen, and Karrington Hansen are part of the 12-member Team USA roster for the event. The Hansen siblings’ participation is particularly noteworthy, as they all come from the same team and high school. The swimmers maintain a rigorous training schedule and are excited to compete at the international level, with Brinkleigh Hansen aiming to compete in the 2028 Olympic Games.
