FAA warns travelers about flying with and packing lithium batteries at TIA

Lithium-ion battery fires increasingly keep firefighters busy

With all the holiday traveling going on, the FAA wants travelers to take an extra look at what they’re packing. Lithium batteries are of special concern. Items with batteries must be in carry-on luggage and not checked.

Some of the things that lithium batteries are found in are:

  • Children’s toys
  • Power tools
  • Video game controllers
  • Laptops and electronics
