Due to an issue with the parking function that could cause cars to roll away, the Ford Motor Company is recalling about 273,000 cars and trucks. This recall effects certain Mustangs, F-150s and other vehicles.

According to the NHTSA, Ford plans to issue letters notifying owners of the issue on Feb. 2, 2026. The faulty software can be updated “over-the-air,” which is done remotely, or by the dealer.
