Good news: If you have an email address that you made when you were younger but have now entered adulthood and want to change it, now you can. Starting today, Google is finally letting people change their old, “poorly chosen” Gmail addresses, while keeping their emails. You also get to keep your previous handle for anyone who still has it as an “alternate”. “Basically, it just lets you easily transition to a more mature address, without having to start a separate account, and move everything over. To change your username, go to the email settings page. From there, click on Personal info > Email > Google Account email. If your account is eligible, you’ll see a Change Google Account email option. And be careful what you pick. You can only change it once every 12 months.
