Walmart and BET: Amplifying the HBCU Experience and Empowering Black Excellence with ‘For The Fellas’


Morehouse College hosted a panel discussion featuring actor Woody McClain, NASCAR driver Rajah Karuth, DJ Brian Henry, and rapper-actor Vic Mensa, exploring the impact of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and the power of mentorship. The panelists shared personal experiences and highlighted the importance of HBCUs in shaping their careers and fostering a sense of community and excellence. The event, part of BET’s For the Fellas series, emphasized the significance of visibility, collaboration, and authenticity in empowering Black men to excel beyond limitations. The panelists underscored the role of mentorship, self-belief, and staying true to one’s roots as keys to unlocking unlimited potential for Black youth.
