Gordie’s Midday Gossip: Help for Pinellas County Families

Apostolic Church of Jesus Fellowship Ministries Food Pantry (WFTV)

Pinellas County families can receive free groceries at drive-through mobile pantries this week, part of a partnership with the Juvenile Welfare Board and the St. Petersburg Free Clinic. This is the first of three opportunities where household can get around 50 pounds of food, including fresh produce, proteins, dairy, and shelf-stable items. Residents demonstrating need, qualify with requirements varying based on the type of food distributed. The first drive-through event is tomorrow Oct. 23 – Thurs Oct 24 at the Family Center on Deafness in St. Petersburg, (5175 45th St. N, St. Petersburg) from 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Distribution events are also set for Nov. 20 and Dec. 18. Residents can also access food resources at the St. Pete Free Clinic and Feeding Pinellas Empowerment Center. Residents are generally advised to bring photo identification and proof of residency (e.g., a utility bill with a current address).
