Janet Jackson Claims Kamala Harris’ Father Is a White Man: “That’s What I Heard” Janet Jackson recently revealed in an interview with The Guardian that Kamala Harris’ father is white, contrary to the belief that Harris is a Black woman. Harris’ father, Donald J. Harris, is a Jamaican economist, while her mother, Shyamala Gopalan Harris, is from India.

“She’s not Black. That’s what I heard. That she’s Indian,” Jackson told interviewer Nosheen Iqbal before adding, “Her father’s white. That’s what I was told. I mean, I haven’t watched the news in a few days. I was told that they discovered her father was white.” Jackson expressed uncertainty about America’s readiness for a woman of color in office, predicting potential “mayhem” regardless of the outcome. All Janet had to do was a little research and she would have found the answers. Instead, she relied on what she heard and what she was told and not what she researched and found.
