Gordie’s Midday Gossip: St. Pete, Get the lead out

City of St. Petersburg Hosting “Get the Lead Out” Kickoff Event in Observance of National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week. Eligible homeowners in the South St. Petersburg Community Redevelopment Area (CRA) may qualify for up to $36,000 through the Lead Reduction Grant program. Residents can attend the Get the Lead Out kickoff event on Oct. 25 at the Childs Park Recreation Center to receive education on lead hazard reduction, safety training, and information about the grant program. The event is free and will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 4301 13th Ave. S.
