Pinellas County, City of Tarpon Springs to host Storm Mitigation Expo

With hurricane season underway, Pinellas County and the City of Tarpon Springs will host a free Storm Mitigation Expo on Saturday, July 19, to provide residents with information and resources to protect their homes and businesses from storm impacts.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tarpon Springs Recreation Center, 400 S. Walton Ave., Tarpon Springs.

Residents and business owners can:

Talk with industry experts to learn how to best protect their properties from storm impacts.

Explore the latest home mitigation products and discover actionable strategies to better prepare for severe weather.

Pre-register with restoration professionals to ensure quick recovery after storms.

View live demos of flood barriers and wind mitigation products designed to protect their properties.

A second Storm Mitigation Expo will be hosted by Pinellas County and the City of St. Pete Beach on Aug. 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St. Pete Beach Community Center Ballroom, 7701 Boca Ciega Drive, St. Pete Beach. Pinellas County individuals and business owners can learn more about preparing for hurricane season at disaster.pinellas.gov.
