Barrington Middle School art teacher Karen Savage has been removed after being recorded by one of her students hanging a black doll under the classroom TV. Students say that she did it to get their attention. The original video (posted on Instagram) has been viewed over 2 million times.
Hillsborough County Public Schools Superintendent Van Ayres called the display “unacceptable” and said it did not reflect the school district’s values.
