Pinellas County Juvenile Justice Citizens Academy

Pinellas County is offering a 10-week Juvenile Justice Citizens’ Academy program from April 23 to June 25, providing residents with an inside look at the local juvenile justice system. Participants will meet with professionals, like representatives from the State Attorneys office, the Public Defenders office and behavioral health to name a few, while attending weekly sessions on system operations, and tour juvenile justice facilities. The program covers topics such as prevention, early intervention, diversion programs, and the court process. Adult residents can apply online by April 17 to participate in the program and must attend at least eight of the 10 sessions to receive a certificate of completion.
