Happy “Stranger Things” Season 5 premiere day to all who celebrate. Many fans have been rewatching the series to get ready for tonight.
All four previous seasons have landed in Netflix’s Top 10 chart, which set a new record for a Netflix series. But if you haven’t had time to do a rewatch, we’ve got you covered.
There’s an 18-month time jump between Seasons 4 and 5, with Season 5 kicking off in the fall of 1987.
Here are 10 things you need to remember:
1. Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) are still together.
2. The core members of The Party are still alive. That’s Mike, Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin), and Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo).
3. Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) a.k.a. Henry Creel a.k.a. 001, is alive and ready for vengeance.
4. Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) is in a coma. She briefly died, but Eleven brought her back to life.
5. There’s a giant rift that’s opened up in Hawkins.
6. Eleven has her powers back. Papa (Dr. Brenner) helped her restore them through a series of experiments, and become stronger.
7. Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) died in the Season 4 finale.
8. Jim Hopper (David Harbour) and Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) finally kissed.
9. Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton) and Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) are still together. (And in real-life, too.)
10. Will has a psychic connection to Vecna. It was revealed in the Season 5 sneak peek that showed a young Will meeting Vecna in the Upside Down when he went missing in Season 1.
