Surgeon general says excessive screen time can be harmful to kids

According to the surgeon general, children and teens are spending too much time watching screens. They have also issued a new advisory. The advisory warned that excessive screen time or time online could lead to things like poor sleep and dietary habits, mental health effects like anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and even drug use.

They have also developed a toolkit that not only encourages parents to model good behavior, but to also hold off on screen time for their child as long as possible.
