Water restrictions hit Tampa Bay starting Sunday Feb. 8

Water restrictions

Starting Sun Feb. 8 through July 1, Tampa Bay residents — including those on private wells — must follow one-day-per-week lawn watering restrictions. Over the last year, the Tampa Bay area has seen an 11-inch rainfall deficit. Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties were all upgraded to Stage II Drought Warnings this week.

For example, here’s the restrictions for Hillsborough county’s once a week watering restrictions -

If your address (house number) ends in:

  • 0 or 1, water only on Monday
  • 2 or 3, water only on Tuesday
  • 4 or 5, water only on Wednesday
  • 6 or 7, water only on Thursday
  • 8 or 9*, water only on Friday (* and locations without a discernible address)
